True Spanish paella is difficult to find in New York City. At Café Espanol, your biggest problem will be which paella you are in the mood for. Cooking done with saffron, paprika and other Spanish spices ensures that there are plenty of flavors in all of the dishes at Café Espanol. Fresh seafood and perfectly cooked steaks are a couple of the reasons that Café Espanol has been serving New York diners since 1976. They have recently added a tapas menu that gives many creations in smaller portions, but with the same big taste of the entrée size. Really terrible quality food. Everything tastes like it was made from the frozen food section of the grocery store. I was really craving Spanish food and unfortunately, this is just not it.

I live across the street and always go there whenever I feel like real good seafood. Their mariscada and paella are awesome - delicious and the portion is big enough for two meals!
